Your conversation content is local by default.
Accounts identify who can use Conva. They do not automatically move your audio, transcripts, recordings, or reference library into our cloud.
The local path
On desktop, microphone and supported system audio can be transcribed on your computer. Saved conversations, recordings, and your reference library stay in local app storage.
Audio, transcripts, recordings, reference documents, local indexes, provider keys, and device settings.
Email, profile, portable preferences, access entitlements, and counts needed to operate the service.
Optional hosted features
If you explicitly turn on hosted Ally or hosted transcription, the required text or audio is proxied transiently under zero-retention, no-training terms. The request and response are not stored as conversation content; only usage counts are retained.
Your own provider
If you use your own provider key, the request goes directly from your device to that provider and is governed by their terms. Conva does not receive your key.
The beta application
If you apply for beta access, we collect the email address, the option you choose that best describes you, and the short description of the conversation where Conva would matter — so we can review applications and send invites as they open up. We don't sell this information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
